Global Forest Society to attend Capers Community Market Eco Fest
27 May 2001
VANCOUVER, Canada - Global Forest Society will be attending The 2001 Sustainable Living Eco Fest. The event will take place Sunday, May 27th at 1675 Robson in the Capers Parking lot from 10am to 4pm.

Sustainable Living Eco Fest is a fun, educational event where the public can find information about sustainable products, activities and services. Tables will be set up in tents, so the event will be taking place rain or shine! Look for Maurice, Lisa and the gang.

Global Forest Society will have books, hats, t-shirts, stickers and other fun things at our display! We will be having draws for some free stuff and staff will be available to answer any questions. We invite you to come down and find out about our international research projects, our Worldwide Weather project or our children's education programs. Children are welcome and readings of the educational book "Forest Adventures with Bruni the Bear" by the author, Dr. Reese Halter will take place throughout the day.

"This event is a great opportunity to share our vision and knowledge of the forest with children and adults alike," says Dr. Halter, "Hopefully the people that will be attending Eco Fest will walk away with a deeper appreciation for nature, and a commitment to learning more about trees and the environment."
