Dr Reese to receive prestigious conservation award

PALM SPRINGS, California – The Cahuilla Chapter of The National Society
of the Daughters of the American Revolution awards Dr Reese Halter their
Conservation Medal Award for outstanding contributions in education,
ecology, forest science research, and excellence in the media. “You
certainly deserve, in all respects, this honor.” Says Cahuilla Chapter
Regent Harriet Hubbard Kay. Eighteen years ago philanthropist Dr Halter
founded the international research institute Global Forest Science which
now supports over 140 scientists working in eight countries. These teams
of multi-disciplinary scientists have short-circuited ecological
disasters and provided ground breaking scientific results to assist in
conservation of natural resources. Dr Halter is a children’s best
selling author, science writer, sought after public speaker and go to
expert for cable TV. He lives in the Coachella Valley with his wife LuAn
and their three children Fred, Ryan and Jinji-Jo.
