Environmental Monitoring

Tree rings (or the study of dendrochronology) are able to tell scientists so much about past and present climates. This is extremely important today as we face global climate change. In addition, trees are an excellent source of air purification especially in our polluted urban centers. Stanley Park in Vancouver or Central Park in NYC provide great examples of trees assisting humans in an urban environment. Global Forest is monitoring the state of both animals and trees as they are affected by global change.
