hackberryCeltis occidentalis L.
Some hackberry trees can reach heights of more than 25 m but on average they grow to about 16 m. They closely resemble elms but they have round fleshy drupes as fruits instead of samaras. The fruits are eaten by a wide variety of birds ranging from game- to song-birds.
